Calling all Makers ages 8 to13! Do you want to learn about electricity, construct machines, make Shrinky Dink charms, or try your hand at computer coding? Then join us on the first Monday of each month as we tackle one of these fun projects!

January—Squishy Circuits—We’ll be learning about electricity by making squishy circuits out of dough.

February—Shrinky Dink Charms—Did you know that some plastics will shrink when heated instead of melt? Come by and design a charm that you can shrink down and give to someone special.

March—How to Train Your Teen Librarian—Learn how to code without a computer and train the Teen Librarian to perform different tasks.

April—K’Nex Machines—We’ve got a big box of K’nex and we need your help to turn them into working machines.

Calling everyone ages 13-18! Help us promote summer reading by shooting a short 30-90 second video. The local winning entry will be submitted to the statewide Teen Video Challenge contest where it could win $150! Teens are responsible for scripting, shooting, and editing their videos. The library will provide space and assistance with editing techniques. See library for rules and details.
